According to a Harvard study, giving makes us feel happy. In fact, it makes us happier than receiving.

In their study, the researchers found that giving money to someone else lifts your happiness more than spending it on yourself.

Not what you’d expect, is it?

In 2019 Pieter decided to take the act of giving a step further.

In what started out as a joke, he gave a hotel gift card to a friend without her knowing who it was from.

Surprisingly, his act of giving anonymously was a wonderful experience to him and he wanted to share this opportunity with more people.

Which inspired him to create this online project, GiveWithoutExpectations.com

Pieter Tigelaar in Hawaii“Giving without expectations really means not getting anything in return. Not even a thank you or a word of recognition to make you feel good about yourself.”

“Giving something and then completely letting go can be a wonderful experience, both for the giver and the one receiving the gift.”

This website provides both sides the chance to share their experiences about this process anonymously.

Consider this website as a gift without expectations itself.

We make no profit from it and we don’t collect any personal data of the users.

It’s all about offering everyone the opportunity to have the wonderful experience of giving without expectations, and share it online.

This might be the start of a global movement. A movement of giving without expectations.

Start here and find out for yourself what it does to you.
